Career Guidance at DFC
Career Guidance at DFC provides opportunity for
all students to explore and discover their interests and skills
in preparing for careers. At DFC, we use the career exploration
program, SCOIS (South Carolina Occupational Information System)
to assess and create a career portfolio for our students. We encourage
all students to use SCOIS as a great resource in preparing and
planning a career. SCOIS can be accessed at www.scois.net. Students
must use their 12-digit student ID number for their username and
password. The site id number is sc13828.
Career Development Advisory takes place once every
month during CAVS. Students participate in career activities,
view career videos, etc.
If students have not chosen one of the 16 clusters
of study offered at Dorman High School, we will meet with students
and parents in choosing a cluster of study and preparing an IGP
(Individual Graduation Plan) for those students. If students wish
to change their cluster of study, we will meet with students and
parents to make this change also.
